John M Totten

John Totten is a Florida native born and raised in Orlando, FL. He is a seasoned defense and security professional with over 26 years of experience in Intelligence Analysis, Physical Security, Force Protection, Biometrics, and Information Technology across the U.S. Department of Defense.

A U.S. Air Force Target Intelligence veteran (1992–1999), he served in California, South Korea, Okinawa, and Panama. He lived overseas for 12 years and has worked in 28 different countries while speaking three languages. Following his military service, he continued supporting DoD operations in Germany (1999–2005) with General Dynamics IT, then returned to Tampa, Florida, to support U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM). In 2007 he joined Booz Allen Hamilton as CENTCOM’s Lead Force Protection Technology Engineer, a role he held until 2018. In that position, he directed multi-million and multi-billion-dollar programs and led teams of over 100 personnel.

His expertise spans intelligence analysis, sensor technologies, physical security systems, and IT integration. He is a Certified Biometrics Professional with a proven track record of delivering complex security and technology solutions in high-stakes, multinational environments.
